Hall Conservation were asked to undertake a survey of the metalwork at a location in London’s Upper Wimpole Street.
The purpose of the survey was to examine and identify the current condition of the metalwork and then to produce recommendations for works and a budget.
Elements examined included the Juliet balcony, front elevation planters, front light well railings. All of the elements were cast iron and ranged from good to poor condition.
A detailed report was drafted, describing the specifics and current condition of the ironwork, and suggesting the most appropriate restoration treatments for each. The survey was completed in late 2015.
