Hall Conservation are delighted to announce that the Warrington Golden Gates conservation project has been short listed as a 2020 Civic Trust Awards Successful Project in the 2020 Civic Trust AABC Conservation Awards. The Civic Trust awards are the longest standing architecture and built environment awards scheme in Europe.
Over fifty entires from all over the UK were whittled down to a shortlist of just eight.
Brian Hall, director of Hall Conservation said “I’m absolutely delighted that our work on the Warrington Golden Gates has been recognised in this way. The whole team at Hall Conservation worked so hard and so well on this huge conservation project. It was obvious from the reactions of so many people on Walking Day last summer exactly how much the Golden Gates mean to the town of Warrington.”
Fay Newham of Ramble added “Ramboll is privileged to have led the team for the skilled conservation, subtle repair and strengthening of these ornamental gates; a symbol of civic pride, and we are delighted that this has been recognised by the Civic Trust.”
The winner and highly commended placing will be announced at the 61st Annual Civic Trust Awards Ceremony which will be held in the Imperial War Museum North in Trafford on the evening of Friday 6th March.
